Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) and Kabi by Al Ghurair have formed a strategic partnership with ride-hailing apps Bolt and Zed to integrate their fleets and boost e-hailing services in Dubai. The deal includes the 6,200 taxis of DTC and the 3,680 taxis of Kabi, and all other future fleet extensions are automatically incorporated on the platforms.
The alliance focuses on enhancing access to taxis, reducing the waiting time, and increasing the efficiency of the services. It aligns with Dubai Roads and Transport Authority’s target of converting 80% of taxi trips to e-hailing as part of the city’s smart mobility and sustainability plans.
“At DTC, we prioritize innovation and partnerships that enhance the customer experience and support Dubai’s transport ecosystem,” said Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of DTC. He added that Dubai’s taxi sector grew by 7% in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year.
“This partnership brings together industry expertise to meet the growing needs of Dubai residents and visitors,” said Badr Al Ghurair, CEO of Kabi, Al Ghurair Mobility. “By combining resources and using advanced technology, we aim to expand taxi availability while raising efficiency, service quality, and sustainability standards.”
DTC, a public joint stock company established under Law No. (21) of 2023, runs more than 10,000 vehicles, including 6,200 taxis, and completed 49 million trips in 2024. Through this partnership, Kabi in the Al Ghurair Group serves over 20 countries and enhances the e-hailing ecosystem of Dubai.
